Caramelised onion and goat cheese tarts


These little bite size treats are worth making for your next party. They are time friendly, simple to make and a pleasure to eat. It will be a hit and one of the first things to go.

  • 2 sheets puff pastry thawed
  • 1 jar caramelised onion
  • 1 block goat cheese log (any flavour - i used cracked pepper)
  • 1 handful rocket
  • Olive oil spray
  • Olive oil to drizzle

Caramelised onion and goat cheese tarts Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Cut your thawed sheets of pastry into even 9 squares on each sheet. Spray muffin trays with oil.
  3. Press pastry into muffin holes and turn down sides so its a nice circle. Spoon 1 teaspoon of caramelised onion into each pastry. Place sliced cheese on to the top of each circle.
  4. Place in oven to bake for 10-15 minutes or until nice and golden. Remove from oven. Take out of pan. Drizzle a little olive oil over each tart and place one or two pieces of rocket on each. Serve immediately.
